Personally, I didn't really understand some of it, but I was let really trying to. I literally got lost in his explanation for magic and imagination in the best way possible.
The journey through the Immateria when they were looking for Steve were my favorite parts in this series. Moore's premise on how Promethea came to be and how in that world, if you believe in an idea enough, it can come true, was so cool to me. This is not a comic that will be for everyone, and it is REALLY easy to see why.
I've seen other reviews about this series, and they are rightfully mixed. This comic was truly a journey into mystery, and I loved it. The only phrase or description I can say to truly capture what Promethea is is "Journey Into Mystery." When I say that, I don't mean the old Marvel stories, but what the phrase itself could represent. Other than that, I didn't really know what I was getting into. Before I read this run, I didn't really know what the book was about besides it being tied to Greek/Egyptian mythology.
